We wanted to pass on our appreciation for yet another positive Jarrett Bay service experience. This was our 3rd haul out at Jarrett Bay and we can truly say we have always had a positive experience. We have utilized the services of many boat yards over the years. Jarrett Bay ranks among the best of the best. When your vessel is hauled there is always a sense of concern as to its well being and security. Watching a 100 plus ton vessel being hauled is always nerve racking but the Jarrett Bay lift crew is so experienced that they make it look easy. Todd and Kendra promptly scheduled and handled all of the details as they have previously and made everything seamless and easy.

The 2012 Hatteras Owners School dates have been set for April 16th-18th, 2012.

This is a great opportunity for Hatteras owners to learn the in’s and out’s of their boats, courtesy of our fine service department here at Jarrett Bay. We’ll show you a wide variety of tips and solutions for any “do it yourself” kind of situation that you may encounter, while at your home dock, or local marina. Topics include, engine troubleshooting, interior design, fuel transfer & oil change systems, and much more during our three day stent.

Protecting Your Hull: Introducing The Farrow System
Over the years as your hull becomes weathered, gathers barnacles, or is simply in need of repair, it can create drag that will drastically effect the performance of your vessel. In the past you might have had to completely sand down your hull and have it completely repainted. Now at Jarrett Bay we have a new system which can remove these surface defects and leave your topcoat and other custom artwork in tact.
Earlier this week, the Jarrett Bay service yard was the site of an in-depth training session showcasing a great new hull blasting system, known as The Farrow System.

Importance of Fuel Polishing Explained with the Hatteras 68′ “Safari”
The 68′ Hatteras - Safari is in for a variety of repair work, including a power wash with new bottom & prop paint, hull polish, repairing the starboard exhaust, and fuel polishing.
The importance of fuel polishing:

Refit of the Jarrett Bay 58′ “Whoo Dat”
The 58′ Jarrett Bay Hull #43 is undergoing a full refit for her new owner, including full hull and bottom paint, new helm, covering boards, and a full tower by Bausch American Towers. More details and photos to come as the project progresses!

MAN & Volvo Engine Service Come to the Jarrett Bay Marine Park
We have several exciting announcements involving marine engine service here at the Jarrett Bay Marine Industrial Park, including the addition of authorized sales & service for MAN and Volvo engines to our already extensive list of capabilities.
MAN / Performance Diesel
Performance Diesel Inc., the MAN Distributor for the Northeast and Gulf regions has purchased a facility in the Jarrett Bay Marine Park. The facility will be managed by Brian Ostrouski and is scheduled to be fully operational before Spring of 2012. The location will be a complete sales and service facility for the full line of products offered by Performance Diesel including MAN, ZF transmissions, Hyundai marine engines and Marine Diesel (DMax) engines. Fall Service and Repair Projects
Our yard has been jam packed and super active since all of the haul outs since hurricane Irene with over 2,600 feet of boat being managed over the course of weeks. Here are some of the more noteworthy projects:
95′ Sunseeker – Once Around: Pulled the props and we are currently working on the shafts.
Finish Work on Revival
We recently helped finish the 2011 52′ Shearline, Revival. We had a hand in finishing all of the cabinets and interior veneer and installed the mechanical and electrical systems throughout the entire boat. While at Jarrett Bay we installed all the appliances, whisper wall headliner, entry doors and cabinet dividers. The soft goods package and interior design were completed here with collaboration with Scott Williams of “The Red Rickshaw”.
