The Yankee Spirit, an 80’ Lydia boat designed for commercial purposes, arrived at Jarrett Bay on May 21st, 2010. The Yankee Spirit is owned by Mr. Howard and Jacqueline Dubinett of Colts Neck, New Jersey. The new name upon departure will be True Love. The Dubinetts explained that they have a very special group of friends that love to fish and socialize together and that their current 53’ Viking Yacht did not have enough room to allow them to fish together as they would like. The Yankee Spirit was previously a whale watching vessel home ported in Gloucester, MA. Jeff Fulcher, Jarrett Bay’s Service Manager flew to Boston on March 26th, 2010 to review the scope of work and provide an estimate for the refit to be accomplished. We were extremely happy to receive the job and be able to work with the owners on their dream boat. Work commenced on May 24th, 2010.

The Easiest Haul He Has Ever Had
Jeff and Kendra,
I wanted to make sure you knew that both the owner and broker of Andy M were extremely impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of your Travelift crew today. The owner said this is the easiest haul he has ever had with the boat and he felt the crew handled her extremely well. John Nelson, the broker, who has hauled many boats here, says that this is the best crew he’s seen.
Just wanted to pass along to you the job well done. Have a great day.

The Beginning of a Long Term Relationship
Jeff,
I don’t know what I can say or how I can show my appreciation to you and for all you have done to help me over the last several months. What I do know is that I have been lucky to meet a very special person who exemplifies the meaning of professionalism and goodness. I hope this is the beginning of a long term relationship and if there is anything I can do to help you, just let me know. As an aside we had to throw all the dishes overboard since the rack wasn’t done. No problem though we have been working the take out menu’s hard on the way south. David is truly a gem of a person and a great reflection on you for suggesting he help me get the “Nance” south.
Best wishes for the new year!

Professional & Expedient Haul Out of our Grand Banks
Randy,
Good morning. Hope all is well.Nan and I picked up our Grand Banks trawler on Monday after being at Jarrett Bay having some scheduled work done. We want to compliment your staff on our first experience of hauling out our boat, and let you know that we, as customers appreciate the hospitality and professionalism from everyone. Having owned and operated our own businesses for more than 30 years, we know that this is not something that just happens. While the final bill is always one of those “take your breath away” moments, it was certainly within the range of the estimates that Todd and Keith had provided. Keith was excellent to work with. The work was done professionally, and expeditiously, and we simply wanted to say thanks for a positive experience from everyone at Jarrett Bay. Please pass our thanks on to those not copied on this email. We have more work that we want to do to our boat over the next 18-24 months, and we will certainly be back again.
Have a good week, and Go Wolfpack!
Regards,
Chuck, and Nan

Smoothest Hurricane Haul Out Operation Yet
We received a lot of great feedback from our service customers during and after the marathon haul-out session for Hurricane Earl (we hauled 120 vessels in just over three days). Here are few of the messages we received – thank you every one!
This was my first experience with haul out service. I was early, as I usually am anywhere I go, and figured that I would wait. Wait was not going to happen! I arrived, tied up and left My Paramour to your crew. I was very impressed with every part of the operation.
I got to meet Jeff and Mr. Lawrence. You all did great and if this service is representative of your other services, I’ll certainly consider using Jarrett Bay in the future.
Thanks and let me know when I can come get her. Continue reading “Smoothest Hurricane Haul Out Operation Yet” »
Most Efficient Marine Engine Swap I’ve Seen
David,
I wanted to thank you for standing behind the CAT engine issues we had on the Horizon 74-612. Jarrett Bay and Gregory Poole CAT worked seamlessly to make this engine swap one of the most efficient I have ever seen. The owner has been around the boat for the whole time and was very impressed at the work done and especially the time frame that means he will be back sailing north tomorrow after only a week of down time.
Caterpillar is very fortunate to have two great teams at Gregory Poole and Jarrett Bay to support your product.

Jarrett Bay is the Most Capable Yard
I now believe that Jarrett Bay is the most capable yard of any places that I have been. I know that if the occasion should arise, I know that I would be able to drop my boat off at Jarrett Bay and get the service performed correctly the first time. There was feeling of professionalism of the staff at Jarrett Bay that I met as well as the instructors from the other vendors. I got to understand the correct methods of operating the systems on my boat and who to call when things don’t work properly.

Hatteras Owners School Highly Recommended
Hatteras School just came to an end. It was a great class and I recommend it to everyone with a Hatteras. Roger is a wealth of knowledge and he knows how to entertain and make everyone feel welcome.
For those who wonder what goes on at these things, one example was a complete 12pt alarm system that Roger brought in. All of the components were there. It really helps to see the stuff first hand when he is explaining how to troubleshoot. We also had a chance to talk to some DD mechanics from Covington and many other service people.
I also enjoyed meeting the other forum members. The interaction from the class members and the Jarrett Bay staff made for some great discussions.
I may not need to eat for a week. We never missed a meal. Those North Carolina boys know how to feed ya.
Thanks again, Roger.

Deepest Gratitude to Everyone at Jarrett Bay
If all goes well, by the time you guys read this, the Jet Lag should finally be starting its trip down to its new home in Peru. I’d like to thank everyone for all the assistance, patience, hard work and attention to detail you’ve put in since the day Peter took us to see a boat which we thought was out of our possibilities. The service offered by Jarrett Bay and Precision Marine has been outstanding -even though our boat was one of the smallest ones on the yard.
I’d like to thank Peter for guiding us to the right boat and taking care of the sea trials, Keith for having the inmense knowledge, attention and patience to help us figure out what needed to be done on the boat and getting it done, George for the excellent work on the engines and making sure no details went un-checked (will be e-mailing you about the Iveco’s some years from now), Kendra and Angela for helping us tie up all the loose ends, bills and paperwork, and Wayne for making sure we could sea trial the boat during my visit last February.
It has truly been a wonderful experience for us (and the boat isn’t even here), and we know it was in large part due to you guys.
Have no doubt that if anyone here asks for a recommendation of where to get a boat, Jarrett Bay will be the only one on the list.
Once again, we extend our deepest gratitude at everyone at Jarrett Bay and Precision Marine.
Best regards,
Mateo, Raul, and the rest of the Musso Family, Jet Lag 31′ CABO 1999
