• No one passed me!
| Dear Randy,
Fished yesterday in a healthy SW 5-6 sea with some 8's mixed in. Came home at 25 knots from the North (Wilmington/Spencer Canyons) with the bow down quarter sea port side running into it at an angle. Had a 70ft enclosed bridge boat next to me (bertram or ocean, not sure) and about 10 other 50’ class boats (vikings and oceans) behind me on the trip home. No one passed me! Had one guy sleeping in the cabin all the way home and we slowed up about 10 miles from the beach to allow everyone to use the head. While moving along at about 6 knots, we took a wave into the cockpit from the side (gives you an idea of sea conditions.) Anyway, the boat next to me got on the tournament channel and asked if I was ok considering sea conditions as he saw me slow down. He then asked who built the boat as he was very impressed with the boat running quarter head on into those seas. Anyway, thought I would pass that on to you all that Jarrett Bay got a nice plug on the radio, not to mention others watching a 40’ boat running like a champ into those seas. 1 for 6 on white marlin (got to work on our hookup ratio), one tuna, one dolphin. Heading south on Friday, hear there is a big eye bite down there. Will let you know. Thanks for your help! Love this boat, save the plans!!!
Walt Kuhn, Owner - 41' Jarrett Bay, Hull #44 | | | • Awesome fishing machine!
| Captain Walt Kuhn invited me along yesterday for a trip to the deep, on his boat the Kirsten, a Jarrett Bay express (awesome fishing machine!!). My friend Capt B. runs the cockpit and we were joined by Capt Walt's brother Dan. We couldn't have asked for better weather, we ran to 500 fathoms in the Poorman's at 30 kts. We set the spread and a little while into the troll we ran into a school of Yellowfin, these guys were hungry, 3 knockdowns resulted in two keepers (about 20-30lbs). Then around 10am, Capt B. spots the white checking out our spread. The white went for the teaser, and Capt Walt pulled it away, that just pissed em off! So he went for the big squid and I pulled that away, now he was really ticked! So Capt B dropped a dink right on his nose and he ate it, and game on! Then Dan got to fight his first White (between 50-60lbs), some nice jumps and some pictures, then we released him to fight again another day. All in all, a great trip, Dan caught his first offshore fish a Yellowfin and a White. Thanks Captains Walt and B, it was great time and I learned a lot, and congrats Dan.
I'll post the pics as soon as I get them!

| Gary and Randy, Wow! I took a ride on your new 70 yesterday. I was blown away, literally. She is soft, and fast, and quiet. Doesn't get any better than that. Actually, the ride convinced me that speed does not override the hull design. I had been on a (competitor's) boat at similar speeds and I felt she pounded. Thank you for arranging the sea trial.
Bob Baratta - 70' Jarrett Bay, Hull #48 | | | • A hell of a good ride
| Jarrett Bay is a quality fishing boat. The workmanship I think is very, very good. Until you have one, you really don't know, but I have heard nothing but good things from owners, which is the best piece of advice you can get. It's a hell of a good ride. If you're going to fish offshore, whatever configuration of the hull they do, it's a good ride.
Curtis Strange, Owner - 44' Jarrett Bay, Hull #39 | | | • 2nd place Lady Angler
| Thanks for a great tournament and most enjoyable event for my wife and me. The "Jarrett Bay 58" did make the news paper with Cindy as 2nd place Lady Angler. I look forward to getting up to NC and see the production facility and the appropriate boats on the market. Best news is my wife is now getting stimulated. She was especially pleased and excited that Randy invited her to fish Big Rock as the Lady Angler. Again thanks for all the special attention we received and hospitality. Please pass our appreciation and gratitude on to Randy and Kim.

| When you tell somebody you've got a Jarrett Bay, people that know it, know you've got one heck of a machine. It's well built; it's put-together; it's probably as good a boat as a man could ever want. It's the ultimate dream of every man who fishes.
Mike Larrow, Owner - 55' Jarrett Bay, Hull #42 | | | • I'm proud to own her
| With the C-18 she weighs 28,000 lbs. with 400 gallons of fuel on board. She cruises 26ish at 1950 [rpm]. She really is a sweetheart. I'm proud to own her. Hope all is well and business is prosperous.
Reid Bandy - 53' Jarrett Bay, Hull #6 | | | • Everyone who worked on my boat did a great job
| The davit and shore boat install are great, it all works better and easier than I had hoped. The adjustments that we were able to make to the initial instillation have turned out to be exactly what was needed, it is easy to launch off the stern, but if I am backed into a slip I have the option of launching off the side.
Everyone who worked on my boat while I was there did a great job, but I would especially like to thank the welders who took the time to do the adjustments to the davit. You have a very professional crew and should be proud of the work they do. There are not many boat yards that would get an open ended contract from me, I was right to give it to you and my decision was rewarded with a good job at a fair price.
Janis and I will hopefully have many pleasant years on the boat enjoying the improvements you made to our home.
Thank You

| Last week, Jim Sherman, the experienced and very capable electronics technician from Mt. Pleasant Radio, was replacing our ethernet hub in the Marilyn B's NavNet System. Unsolicited, he gave you (Jarrett Bay) this compliment, "They really did a great job with this wiring!" It's nice to hear those deserving get this recognition! Keep it up!
We also continue to get a lot of compliments on the Marilyn B's appearance and performance. Many thanks for your help and congratulations on the results.

| I wish to express my thanks to all the women and men at Jarrett Bay Boatworks.
December 2000 I had my 53’ Gulfstar Trawler hauled to have the bottom stripped and redone. I planned on it taking three months, and to my surprise, it was done and back in the water the end of January. All work was neatly and professionally performed and whenever I came to check on the progress, everyone was friendly and willing to talk to me. Even those who did not work on the boat were friendly and cordial.
I worked with Jeff Folger and Tim Heaney without any problems and when the job was done, Jeff suggested I bring the boat back in two years so they could check their work. In March this year I hauled it in for a week. They found some small blisters and the yard did the necessary work to repair them. At that time I was allowed to do some work on the boat myself.
It has been a pleasure working with Jarrett Bay Boatworks and I wish to thank them for a great job done.
Sincerely,
William A. Kaiser - | | | • Pleased beyond my expectations
| During the first week of April 2003, my boat was re-launched after a three week stay at Jarrett Bay Boatworks. During its stay, a bow thruster was installed, cutlass bearings replaced, and the bottom redone. This note is to express my appreciation for the handling of my entire stay by your staff professionals.
From the help I received by Jeff Fulcher in ordering the parts and scheduling the work, to the constant attention from Barry West and Tim Heaney during my stay, to the fiberglass work by Gary Willis, to the elder gentleman that painted the bottom with artist attention, to the travel lift crew, I was pleased beyond my expectations.
I thank you for all the professionals that made the stay at your yard both successful and a pleasure.
Best Regards,
Pete Drez, BLUE CHIP - | | | • First class boat yard
| I would like to thank you for operating like a first class boat yard. As you know this year was my third trip to Jarrett Bay to make improvements to the “Green Eyed Girl” Hatteras 45. In my haste to get under way this year in order to meet my schedule and to beat the weather, I left without noticing two small deficiencies in the paint. When I brought this to the attention to Jeff Fulcher he scheduled a crew and re-painted the areas at my home port in Virginia. It is because of this work quality and dedication to customer satisfaction that keep me returning to Jarrett Bay in lieu of using an unproven yard in my area. I am certain that this attention to customer satisfaction will be a great help to your succeaa as the new Hatteras dealer.
Thanks again!
P.S. Your Paint Department Technician, Denise Heuser, should be commended for her quality and attention to detail.
Lonnie Cooper - | | | • A++ Service & Repair
| I brought my boat, the Dixie Darling in for some service and to have it dry docked for a bottom paint job and I must say, I have been to several other marinas for the same type of work and Jarrett Bay far exceeded all others in professionalism and courtesy. I have nothing but great things to say about Jarrett Bay and when the time comes to purchase my next boat, it WILL be from Jarrett Bay. A++ guys .. thanks.
Jeff Szczypinski - | | | • Outstanding Individuals
| Dear Sirs,
I am writing to let you know about two outstanding individuals that work for you.
Recently I planned to stay with you for five days to do some annual maintenance and have someone look at our bow thruster and windlass. Due to a mistake that took place, which can happen, it lengthened the stay.
I would have been very upset if it wasn’t for the customer service I received from Keith Tosto.
Keith delivered on every request, he checked in on my wife and me to make sure our extended stay was alright and productive. He has great sales and people skills that we as customers appreciate. We will come back because of Keith.
Jim Eisenmann, new to your company and a recently ABYC certified electrician, has everything it takes… determination, desire, customer skills, attention to detail and commitment to solving a problem. He solved our problem even when it was complicated. He solved it like it was his own.
For the past thirty years I was in sales and service management, supervising a force of people, I would have scooped Jim up in a minute. He became a sergeant in the Marines in four years, which is no small feat. He is taking courses at the community college in management. I am sure you company recognizes a future leader. Invest in his future and he will give back two fold. He has a craving for learning and understanding, a combination that is hard to find.
Both of these people turned a bad situation into a positive and we will be back because of them.
