The 55′ Micabe, (Jarrett Bay hull #42) and owner Mike Larrow enjoyed a weekend in the winnings at the 2012 Buccaneer Cup Sailfish Tournament in Palm Beach, FL this past weekend. The Micabe crew placed 2nd in the 2 day Florida Fish for Life tournament and took home 3rd overall in the Buccaneer Cup with 23 sailfish released over 3 days. Sandman & Weez in the Keys took 1st and 2nd respectively.

The official results are in, and we’re proud to announce that the Alliance Fishing Team has won the 2011 North Carolina Governor’s Cup Series aboard the 58′ Gypsy Angler and the Galot 3. The team totaled 3200 points this season, with a lead of 772 points over 2nd place! This marks the 2nd consecutive year that a Jarrett Bay boat has won the Govenor’s Cup – last years champion being the 67′ Waste Knot.
Several other Jarrett Bay boats highlighted the top portion of the leader board, including Bill Collector (4th) which was the top charter boat, Builders Choice (5th), Chainlink (9th), Sea Striker (10th), Weldor’s Ark (11th), & Sensation (19th) out of a field of 42 boats.

We’re proud to report that two Jarrett Bay boats placed in the top three in the Captain Eddy Haneman Sailfish Tournament this past weekend in Wrightsville Beach, NC. The 54′ Chicken Ship, captained by Adam Thompson, won the tournament with 3 sailfish releases on day 1. Wayne Reynolds finished in 3rd on his boat, the 34′ Jarrett Bay, Miss Shell, with two sails released – also on day 1. It was a great day of fishing on Saturday!

Fresh off their victories in the Barta Boys & Girls Billfish Tournament two weeks ago, the 51′ Jarrett Bay, Bill Collector locked up 3rd place in the North Carolina Ducks Unlimited “Band the Billfish” Tournament this past Saturday.
Based out of Morehead City, the “DU” tournament featured 47 participating boats, 8 of which were Jarrett Bays. Builder’s Choice, Sensation, Chainlink, Gypsy Angler (and of course Bill Collector) all got some billfish to their transom during the two days of fishing!

The prestigious Bermuda Triple Crown started in early July and one of the several Jarrett Bay boats to make the crossing, the 61′ Rameseas, saw a lot of great fishing.
Captained by Jon Huff and fished by Wells family (owners), Rameseas placed just out of the money (4th) in the Bermuda Billfish Blast after releasing two blue marlin and a white. To wrap up their 2011 Bermuda trip, the team finished 6th in the Seahorse Anglers Club Billfish Tournament after Terry Wells boated this 544 lb. blue marlin on the final day of fishing. The fight was 192 minutes!

The 54′ Jarrett Bay, Chainlink recently took home first place in the 2011 Cape Fear Blue Marlin Tournament with 7 white marlin released in two days. The Cape Fear tournament is run out of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina and this year’s fleet consisted of 18 of the top billfishing teams in the region.
This 3-day event features two fishing days and one lay day, but it always seems to provide plenty of action – and this year Day 2 was when the fireworks took place. After each boat made one release on Day 1, both the Chainlink & Trophy exploded with action Friday morning. Chainlink was the first on the board for the day with a dual white marlin release at 8:51 with Trophy following suit with a white release an hour later. The 55′ Jarrett Bay, Weldor’s Ark took home first place in the overall billfish category in last weekend’s King Mackerel Bluewater Tournament hosted by the Swansboro Rotary Club. Another 55′ Jarrett Bay, Builder’s Choice placed third, and several other Jarrett Bay’s weren’t far behind, including Chainlink in 4th & Rameseas in 6th.

We’re proud to report Captain Adrian Holler and team aboard the 61′ Jarrett Bay, Sea Striker took home 3rd place overall in the level 1 and level 2 billfish divisions and won several gamefish pots this past weekend in the 17th annual Hatteras Village Offshore Open. Wired Up & Outer Limits took 1st & 2nd, respectively.
