With the Hatteras Factory & Refit center nearby, you might ask yourself, “Why should I bring my Hatteras to Jarrett Bay for a refit or repairs?” Here are five big reasons why:
Experience
More than the folks that built my boat? You betcha.
We didn’t just start in the refit business. We have been a certified refit center for Hatteras for years, and in fact have been in the refit business for nearly 27 years. Production boat builders have lots of experience assembling boats, our refit staff are experts at taking older boats apart and rebuilding them. Own a vintage Hatt? The folks who built your boat most likely no longer work at Hatteras, though many members of our team worked for Hatteras in the past and have been refitting Hatteras Yachts specifically for over 30 years.
One on One
We don’t handle your refit by committee. Sign on with us and you are assigned a project manager responsible for seeing your refit through to a timely and successful completion. His is the only phone number you will need—no chasing down subcontractors or suppliers.
Sharp Skills
Our refit crew is just that: the refit crew. Since we complete some 50 refits per year, we can afford to have a dedicated crew, who bring thier A-game to your project. We are not pulling personnel from other areas when a boat pulls in for a refit.
On the Go
Got a Hatteras that needs a refit but don’t want to bring it to us? No problem: We’ll send a crew to you.
The Big Picture
As a part of the Jarret Bay Boatworks 175-acre service facility, we have at our disposal: easy access off the ICW; a broad range of skills and equipment on-site; and indoor service facilities with a 220-ton capacity travelift, giving us the ability to haul any Hatteras ever built. In short, we’re not just a yard, we’re part of an organization that includes wood and fiberglass custom and semi-production boatbuilding, complete service facilities and a marine industrial park with a wider range of services and products available on-site than anywhere else on the coast.
