Hull 65 - JB 64 Rebelette-running

Fifth Hull Built by Family Spanning Three Generations

Jarrett Bay Boatworks has delivered the latest evolution of their popular 64’ hull to owners with deep ties to the company since its inception nearly 37 years ago. The fifth custom boat to be commissioned by a family spanning three generations, Hull 65 has taken to the water with sleek styling and peak performance worthy of her force-to-be-reckoned-with REBELETTE name – a nod to the owners’ allegiance to Ole Miss.

Jarrett Bay has built many sportfish convertibles in the sixty-foot range over its history, but a series of recent 64’ commissions have established this size as a signature length for their custom fleet. Similar to every hull built before her, REBELETTE was designed and built to the owner’s exact specifications and requests. Although the Alexseal Cloud White hull and top sides, along with the centerline helm station built into a peninsula console on the flying bridge, may resemble other recent Jarrett Bay builds, other likenesses are few in this latest launch.

Hull 65 is the first new Jarrett Bay to be splashed with Caterpillar Marine’s latest propulsion technology: the C32B. This latest propulsion technology has undergone hundreds of hours of strenuous testing in Jarrett Bay’s hull 48, IRON LEADER, serving as the research & demo platform for Cat®. With twin turbos on each V12 engine, hull 65’s C32Bs are rated at 2,025 hp and are complimented by the CAT® Three60 Precision Control joystick system. REBELETTE’s sea trials did not disappoint with smooth rides found at both an efficient cruise of 37kts, as well as wide open speeds pushing 44kts. Additionally, these CAT powerplants were extremely responsive in maneuvering her loaded weight of approximately 98,000 lbs as nimbly as vessels a fraction of her weight.

Hull 65 - JB 64 Rebelette - engine room
REBELETTE’s engine room is finished out with top-of-the-line systems including a Seakeeper 26 gyro stabilizer, Spot Zero watermaker system, ElectroSea descaling system, AXI fuel polishing and management, and a pair of Cat 2.2T generators rated at 27kW each. Hull 65’s systems are laid out for ease of maintenance for the captain and crew and the bright white finish and LED lighting ensures superior illumination in this busy space.

Entering the expansive salon, guests’ eyes will be drawn to the salient galley island forward to port, adjacent to a dinette teeming with concealed storage. Another unconventional touch in this newest Jarrett Bay is the addition of a settee opposite the traditional L-shaped settee to port. Seating is plentiful between these two plush spaces, and when including the island barstools and dinette. A flatscreen TV rises out of concealed cabinetry from behind the additional settee and is complemented by a high-tech entertainment system.

Hull 65 - Jarrett Bay 64 salon
The beautiful walnut veneer and solid wood finishes throughout the salon continue down forward along with the quartzite countertops. While many 64-foot sportfisherman aim to offer 3 or even 4 staterooms, hull 65 is equipped with 2 spacious and luxurious staterooms – one with a private head and the forward stateroom a shared head. This configuration – specified by the owner – affords space for a generous tackle area with rod and reel storage, and a concealed stacking washer and dryer. To aid in the well-appointed appeal is walnut wainscotting throughout the lower level.

The exterior profile of REBELETTE has a sleek look thanks to her massive 44-foot RUPP Outriggers and the absence of a busy tuna tower. Her custom Bausch Towers hardtop conceals high-speed teaser reels and electronics above the peninsula console. The helm is loaded with electronics from Triton Marine including three 22-inch Garmin multi-function displays. Forward of the console is a chaise lounge that conceals a 60-gallon chest freezer. The chaise is flanked by lounge seating to port and starboard with plenty of dry storage beneath.

To accentuate those fine Carolina Flare® lines, hull 65 features an Everett Nautical-designed faux teak toe rail and cabin molding, which offers less maintenance with the same beauty of real gloss teak accents. Beneath the faux teak is high-density foam core, which is heavily glassed for ultimate rail strength while keeping weight considerations in check.

Hull 65 - JB 64 Rebelette - cockpit
The cockpit of Hull 65 reflects every bit of Jarrett Bay’s mantra: “Born to Fish, Built to Win”. The mezzanine level is loaded with chilled storage including a drink box, freezer with bait trays and a generous 65-gallon ice dump. The real teak coaming and covering boards outline a massive 115-gallon transom baitwell, while additional dry storage can be found at both the mezzanine bench seating to port and the unique starboard side mezzanine seat. The hot seat for the cockpit will be the Trillion fighting chair fit for a king from Release Marine.

REBELETTE’s appearance dockside invokes the senses with a feeling of speed and agility, even as she remains at rest awaiting push-off from the dock for the next adventure. Thanks to her 1,650-gallon fuel supply, this latest build from Jarrett Bay will be stretching her legs well beyond the Mid-Atlantic coast for adventure in the Caribbean and beyond!
